Nearly all the projects of the LED lighting industry depend on the global environment. The top priority at present is the power supply as well as the development of the LED street lights and LED technology related to the design. There is a wide variety of programs in which each of them has a unique design approach. Here are some of the key points of the LED street lights power supply to note.



Why must there be constant current in the LED street lights power supply?


Well, it is the properties of the LED lighting material used that determines the environment to be influenced such as in case of elevated temperature, the LED current shall increase thereby increasing the voltage. Thus, the long-term will greatly shorten the lifespan of the LED lamp beads than the rated current work. To ensure constant Led current, there must be some changes in the voltage and temperature as well as in other environmental factors. This will also ensure that the operating current remains constant.




Power supply constant current accuracy


The current precision on the market power of difference as compared to the recommended program, there is an error of 8% which is a bit large. Thus, there must be fine-tuning in the production of the power so as to obtain the 3% error.

Series and parallel power supply board and the wide voltage


If the LED lights power supply input voltage is a bit wide and in the range of AC85 to 265V, using the light board parallel LED strings is very crucial. It is not advisable to use the wide voltage and to achieve this you can have it divided into AC220V and AC110V classifications. This will help a lot in ensuring power reliability. The output voltage should not exceed 70V due to the current supply as it may require a voltage of 110V. The serial number should not have more than 23 strings. If the input voltage is 220V the output voltage may reach 156V and this serial number should not have more than 45 strings. Generally, there are many solutions of voltage; it is only that the scheme must be used under certain specified conditions.


Isolated and non-isolated power supply


Isolated power is usually placed inside the tube of the power supply. However, it is quite difficult to put the tube due to the bulky voltage transformer. Thus, this depends on the spatial structure although the isolation of the general power can be up to 15W. Some manufacturers can provide even more than 15W isolated power supply and consequently the price for this is expensive. Generally, the isolated LED street lights are not cost-effective. The general non-isolated power is more mainstream and its volume can be compressed to be smaller. However, the minimum can be 8 mm high. It is good to know that space allows the isolated power supply to be done easily.
