Therefore, there are different types of certifications when it comes to LED lighting products and below are some of them.

1. CE certification

Any product with “CE” mark means that it is certified. This certification is mostly considered when manufacturers are planning to enter their products into the European market. Thus, all the LED lighting products bearing the “CE” mark can be sold in the EU Member States. This is a necessity in order to achieve the free circulation of goods which are genuine within the EU member states.

2. FCC certification

FCC certification in full means the Federal Communications Commission and it was established in the year 1934 in the United States Government by an independent agency. This independent agency was directly responsible to the congress. In order to coordinate both the domestic and international communications, FCC is usually done through the control of radio, television, telecommunications, cable and satellite.

3. UL certification

This in full means Underwriter Laboratories Inc. It is the United States insurer experiment and it is the most powerful safety test in the United Sates. It is also the largest civic institution in the world engaged in both security test as well as evaluation. It is a non-profit and independent body used for public safety testing of the professional institutions. This certification body mostly used scientific testing methods so as to study the various materials, products, equipment, devices, property damage, and construction of life as well as the degree of harm. 4. CB certification

This is the system for conformity testing and certification of the electro-technical products. The members of the IECEE certification body are based on IEC standards for the electrical product safety testing. 5. GS certification

This is the meaning of the safety certification and in full means Germany Security certification. The Germany Product Safety Law (GPGE) is the basis and is operated in accordance with the EU standard EN or the Germany industrial standard DIN detection of voluntary certification. It is a recognized Germany security certification mark.

6. VDE certification

The VDE testing and certification institute is the Germany affiliate of the electrical engineers. 7. CSA certification

8. PSE certification

9. SAA certification
